Dogs: We love pups at Land-Grant! Well behaved and leashed dogs are permitted in the Beer Garden and on the patio, though not inside the taproom. For the safety and enjoyment of our guests, non-leashed and poorly behaved dogs (barking) and their owners may asked to leave the premises

Tours: Tours are available on Saturdays at 3:00pm, tours are free, and there is no need to book ahead.

Growler Policy: We're happy to fill your clean growler with our beer. Limited quantity beers may not be available for growler fills, or only as 32oz fills. These beers will be noted on the board and daily menu.

Carryout Beer: In addition to growlers, we offer our beer in 12oz. cans. Cans can be purachsed as a standard six-pack, or customers can build their own six pack from available styles. Cans must be consumed off premises and are not served for drinking in the taproom.

Parking: We have an onsite parking lot located on the western side of our building. Additionally, on-street parking is available along Rich, Town, State, McDowell and Lucas Streets. We ask that you please do not park in the gravel lot across the street from us as that is reserved for Strongwater, its event space, and 400 W. Rich. Parking Map

Looking for a great place to host your birthday party, community fundraiser, office happy hour, or reception? We’d love to host your group! Our Kickstarter Room can hold up to 30 people comfortably with seating for up to 15 people people for parties and gatherings, and we can work with you to plan your fundraiser. Guidelines and FAQs for reserving space and Land-Grant

Kickstarter Room

The Kickstarter Room (pictured above) is a semi-private room that is a casual, laid-back space that looks into our brewing facility. We consider our Kickstarter room to be community space in our taproom, and it is ideal for parties looking to host group events.


This is a FREE space, and we do not set minimums or take deposits. Because we do not charge for this space, we expect all parties to be self-sufficient and respectful of our very simple guidelines listed below.

Reservation Times

The Kickstarter room can be reserved for 3.5 hours, including setup and teardown. The room holds 30 people comfortably with seating for up to 15 people. Many parties use the Kickstarter room as a “home base” for their party, and everyone is still welcome to mingle out and enjoy the rest of the taproom, patio and beer garden during their event.

We absolutely encourage guests to keep their party going after their Kickstarter reservation. Groups are welcome to move and grab space in the main taproom or beer garden area after their party.

Beer Garden

We do not reserve space in the beer garden at this time, however it is quite large and space can usually be found even on busier days.

Amenities and Layout

At the center of the Kickstarter Room sits a beautifully refurbished wood table that is over 9 feet long. The table is perfect for gathering around; or, stools can be removed to make the table a center display feature. There are two 4-top bar height tables and a 5 foot table under the TV to balance out the room and offer additional seating or table space for food. Finally, the room also features a flat-screen TV with HDMI and USB hookups. We can tune it to any channel for you, or you can throw up a slideshow of your own, just bring an HSMI capable device for playback. Free guest WiFi is available for your convenience. We DO NOT allow microphones, outside playlists, or outside speakers to be used in the taproom.

We think the Kickstarter Room is pretty snazzy, but also understand that you may want to decorate the room to fit your occasion. You are more than welcome to do so, we just ask that you refrain from the following:

  • We do not store cakes, decorations, or any food for parties
  • Decorate with glitter or confetti
  • Adhering tape to the walls that will damage the paint (painter’s tape is the only acceptable tape, and we always have plenty around)
  • Serving outside alcohol
  • Serving outside beverages (pop, water bottles, etc)
  • Leaving leftover food
  • Standing on furniture (ask your bartender for a step stool)
  • Occupying the space beyond your reservation time (unless staff confirms that there are no upcoming reservations). If you want to continue the party — you are welcome to grab a table in the taproom, patio, or beer garden.

Drink options

We typically have 24 of our Land-Grant beers on tap, and you can find an up to the minute list of those here. We also offer wine, cocktails, liquor, cider, non alcoholic options, and gluten free options. Beers range from $5-$7 and wine/cocktails range from $7-$10. We do not have table service and everyone orders at the bar. This makes it very easy to keep individual tabs.

Drink Tickets/Wristbands/Large Tabs

With drink tickets, we can provide generic raffle tickets or you are welcome to create your own unique ones. The way the drink tickets work is you control and pass out as many as you’d like to your group. We only charge your card for each specific drink bought. For example, if your guest only wanted a coke for $2, we would only charge the tab $2 for their coke. If you are looking to host an all you can drink event, wristbands work great.


A 20% gratuity will be added to all large tabs and drink/wristband tabs.


We do not allow outside catering, and instead, we ask that you work with our scheduled food truck to cater your event. All of them can work directly with you to create a special menu for your group (see below for contacts).

If you are just keeping things light, you are more than welcome to bring in snacks, vegetarian options, and desserts.

At Land-Grant, we do not provide serving ware, kitchen utensils, or silverware. If you need to provide these items for your party, we ask that you consider bringing reusable or compostable servingware to aid our in our Taproom Zero Waste Program.

All of our food trucks offer super delicious food, and you will definitely want to take the leftovers home with you. In fact, we insist upon it! If you can’t finish your food and you do not wish to take it home, please ask a staffer for extra composting/trash bags.


We love hosting your events and truly enjoy sharing in your celebrations. From birthday parties to receptions, you all know how to have fun! To keep things orderly for everyone, we do insist on the following:

  • If you are fundraising, we ask that you do not solicit patrons that are not here for your event
  • No political fundraisers (including for candidates and issues)
  • No guests under 21 after 8:00pm
  • Land-Grant must approve of your signage, banners, literature/materials for display and distribution inside the taproom and beer garden
  • No use of Land-Grant logo without pre-approval – see LG Media Page
  • Do not stand on bar stools, tables or taproom furniture or fixtures. If you need assistance hanging decorations, please ask the bartenders for a step-stool.
