It’s with great excitement that we announce that we’ve signed a lease on a brewing and tap room facility. The Land-Grant Brewing Company will officially be located in a 20,000-square-foot warehouse at 945 Burrell Avenue in historic Grandview Heights.
If you’ve talked to any of the Land-Grant team members over the past year or so, surely we mentioned just how much time and energy has been poured into our real estate search. What we thought would be one of the more fun and exciting steps turned out to be one of the most difficult processes we’ve faced. We refused to compromise our vision of a centrally-located, full-production brewery and tap room—and while our dedication may have slowed things down, it ultimately paid off. The warehouse is an enormous space that will allow us to create the large production brew-house we set out to build, as well as a unique and spacious tap room.
Location was a big sticking point for us—our vision has always been a centrally-situated destination defined by a tight-knit, local community. Grandview Heights and the adjacent Grandview Yard couldn’t be a more fitting setting to bring that to life. The icing on the proverbial cake is that the barrel-vaulted space will let us expand and grow without the need for relocation in the foreseeable future. Needless to say, we’re beyond thrilled.
There are still a great number of steps to go (design, permits, construction, licensing, and finally, brewing!), but the ink has dried on the lease—it’s the lynchpin we’ve been waiting for to get the next steps in motion.
Now the real fun begins and we’ll be documenting it on our shiny new blog. You can also follow along on Twitter and Facebook. Thanks for taking the time to check us out. We hope you come along for the ride—or at the very least, meet us at the finish line when we open our doors and taps.
