The first class of this 4-session series will be on the topic of Yeast, the most important ingredient of beer. Taught by our world-class brew staff, Land-Grant University is a way to learn more about the process of brewing and ingredients in beer within a fun, casual atmosphere. There are literally hundreds of varieties and strains of yeast, and we want to help educate you on their role in the process and also allow you to sample a few of them. As part of the class, we’ve brewed 6 variations on the same beer, each featuring a different yeast strain, for a full sensory experience. In addition to the class and beer samples, students will also receive a course book to follow along with and keep as a reference long after graduation.
