Land-Grant is proud to call the 12,000-square-foot historic building at 424 W. Town Street in East Franklinton home. Its huge production floor (which once built elevators and track-systems for newspaper production facilities) is home to our brand new brewing facility.
The old factory was built in 1920, and bringing this old building up to snuff was an endeavor; countless blood, sweat, and beers were poured into demo and construction from a cast of amazing folks, namely the mighty Compton Construction. As we are wont to do, we kept the cameras rolling throughout the process…
The brewing operation gets started on our beautiful American made brewhouse from the WM Sprinkman Corporation in Wisconsin. Fermentation takes place in one of our two 80 BBL, five 40 BBL, or one 20 BBL fermentation tanks, and the beer finishes up in one of our two 40 BBL or one 80 BBL brites. After that, finished beer goes into kegs or heads over to the packaging area for canning. We were the first Columbus brewery to can beer on our own canning line, a semi-automated 5 head Cask line that churns out canned beer at a healthy clip. From there, beer heads to the cold room, and then either out the back door for distribution around Columbus or up front to the onsite taproom.
Tours of the brewery our available via our taproom on Saturdays at 3pm. No need to buy tickets or RSVP, just arrive at the taproom at about quarter ’til 3.
The taproom and brewery hosted its Grand Opening on Saturday, October 18th 2014.

We’re happy to fill your clean growler with our beer. Limited quantity beers may not be available for growler fills, or only as 32oz fills. These beers will be noted on the board and daily menu.
In addition to growlers, we now have our beer available in six packs of cans. Cans must be consumed off premises and are not served for drinking in the taproom.
We have an onsite parking lot located on the western side of our building. Additionally, free on-street parking is available along Rich, Town, and Lucas Streets. We ask that you please do not park in the gravel lot across the street from us as that is reserved for Strongwater, its event space, and 400 W. Rich. Parking Map
Currently there is road construction closing Town St. just east of the taproom, so avoid approaching from the west (COSI) on Town. Our little corner of Franklinton is still easily accessible from 315, Broad St, or Rich.
